Jackson, Miss mamas - help me plan our visit

I"ll be visiting my uncle in Jackson this week with my 26-month old son, and I just know we are going to need some outings to liven things up (my uncle is in his eighties). Are there any wonderful places to go and great things to do? I've never explored Jackson, especially from a kid's standpoint.
Great playgrounds, kid's museums, zoo, etc. Anything you can think of!

I lived in Jackson for part of my childhood and loved the Agricultural museum! I would definitely check it out! IIrc, the science museum is nearby.

oh thanks! we just got home from our trip, actually - almost made it to the zoo, but nap got in the way :)

We were there recently and thoroughly enjoyed the Natural Science Museum. It's located in the State Park and had a great playground picnic area.
