I went to the only one here in Lawrence yesterday and they won't take anymore stuff till end of October. I really don't want to wait that long. I have clothes, shoes, Fisher Price Aquarium Cradle Swing etc that I would like to sell.

Are there any other shops to contact in the area?

Overland Park area has a few Once Upon a Child locations. There is also Kid's Kreations, but I've never sold there before and I think they are in KC, more than JoCo.

You can also try to sell it yourself on www.larryville.com swapmeet.

There's Mommy & Me in Topeka. I think they're usually buying.

craigslist and the ap groups are often places to sell things.

I'm assuming you went to Second Chance? Try Lasting Impressions too. They do stuff on consignment.

Like poxybat said, there is only one Second Chance. Only Second Chance and Lasting Impressions take little kids clothes.

Adult used clothing shops (where you can actually get some cash for your clothes, as opposed to donating them) are Arizona, Wildman, and Plato's Closet. Plato's closet sells some older kids' stuff (I don't know details, though, as I've never been there).

If you can't sell it there, and you don't want to do craig's list or larryville, you can donate them to a couple of different places. My personal favorite is St. John's Rummage on 13th and Kentucky (or is it Tennessee?). I'm not Christian, but the St. John's Catholics are very socially conscious and community minded, and they do a lot of good. Plus they have a kick ass rummage house.

Okay, I am finally ready to get rid of this stuff! I did sell the swing, but I got tons of kid clothes (infant to toddler both sexes), slings, carseat cover etc.

I will check these out.
