Would love to network with others in the area (we're in Wilton, NH just North of Nashua, South of Keene) who are homeschooling, especially with younger (4 year old) children.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi, Margaret. We just started homeschooling so don't have many contacts yet. There is a group in Keene called LAMP; I will get you info on them if it helps (I know Wilton is not that close to Keene; there is a big group in Manchester that may be closer to you...contact there is Amy Valkanos (647-1976); amyvalkanos@mediaone.net;

and www.geocities.com/nhnacho is the web site for a Christian-based group that is not affiliated with any particular church or denomination.

We are near Winchester, southwest of Keene.

Wow, what great information, thanks so much. I would love to know about the Keene group, LAMP. Keene is only about an hour from here. Are any of these groups Waldorf inspired by chance?

One of the challenges of this new venture for me so far has been trying to keep some rhythm in our days. I'm really working at it but consistency has never been one of my strong points. I started now (pre-school) hoping that within a year or so I might have a better grip on things. Any suggestions?

Best,
Margaret

I see a basic rhythm to the day, as far as Rose and Autumn are early risers and so do their lessons in the morning (I work at night so usually come down around 10 am, when they are almost done for the day).

Then, after lunch and chores, we will do a library or store run (we fit in some math and science at the store...how many cans for a dollar? how much per can, etc.).

And that's it (so far). it's a work in progress.

I am at work and Rose has the LAMP info at home. I'll get it for you next week.

Good luck.

Joe
