Please forgive me if this is a bit :OT , but I thought this might be a good forum for my question...

My family is trying to incorporate charity donations into our gift giving this holiday season. We have friends who are a lesbian couple, and I thought it might be nice to give money in their names to a good homosexual rights charity. I don't even know where to start looking for something like this.

Any advice?

Thanks!

What Megin said...you may want to look locally for a GLBT group...particularly one that deals with at-risk youth. We had one in Troy NY until recently called Safe Zone...

If not...HRC (Human Rights Campaign) is one of my faves!

I personally am not a big fan of the HRC. I'd look for a local place or maybe a group like the NCLR (National Center for Lesbian Rights). They have done great work.
