I lost my little girl 3 months ago and we have been TTC since then. Had 2 cycles and started taking Clomid the last cycle. We have been so disciplined about counting days etc... and are really holding thumbs. How long after ovulation can you test for pg?

I'm no expert and I hope someone with lots of know can answer you....If I remember correctly, 12 days is the very earliest and closer to like 14 is more normal. Every woman is different though.
I am so sorry for you your loss. :hug

Some people get a BFP as early 8-10 days but honestly, it`s better to test later. Many people who test negative early on get a BFP later. I actually tested a week after my AF was due. Not sure why I was scared I guess..:o

I'm pretty certain that the early pregnancy tests these days can detect pregnancy as early as 5 days after conception- even 12 years ago when i worked as a preg counselor we tested 10 days after presumed conception - and that was in 1996. But as suggested above, false negatives are more likely early on as hcg levels are just beginning to rise, so a neg. test early on isn't a guarantee you haven't conceived. I'd test at 7-10 days and if you get a neg, at 14 days just to be sure. With this last baby we had a positive at 14 days. ** and just to add, we've always used the walgreens or target brand of tests and found them quite reliable - no need to spend lots of money. generic EPT tests should work just fine.

Still waiting, still waiting. Last week was my birthday, 28 October, also the due date for my little angel I lost 4 months ago. Aren't birthdays supposed to be happy? Now on my 3rd cycle ttc after losing her. If anyone reads this.... say a little prayer for my baby Rebecca in heaven and holds thumbs for this month...
