Hi Ladies! I could really use some help. We are taking our first family road trip, headed to Florida from Oklahoma. It’s a 20 hour drive so we are giving ourselves 2 ½ days to do it in. What I need help with is good places to stop and play for a two year old and 10 month old along the way. Either a neat attraction or just a great local park – just places we can all get out and stretch our legs along the way. Any replies are appreciated. Thanks!

This is the main highways on the route we are taking (I think). Anything in the whereabouts is great. I 40 through Arkansas, US 78 through Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, to US 280 into Georgia, to I 75 into Florida. Thanks again ladies!

These are the cities we will be going through, but would love to hear about places to stop in smaller towns in between. Also are there any areas you would recommend we avoid?
Little Rock, AR
Memphis, TN
Birmingham, AL
Columbus, GA
Gainesville, FL

As soon as you get across the Mississippi into Memphis, you can head to Mud Island River Park (http://www.mudisland.com/riverwalk.asp) - it's an awesome (FREE!!). You could also stop by the zoo (http://www.memphiszoo.org/), which is really great (and if you're here on a Tuesday afternoon, also free). Neither of these will be very far out of the way at all from the 40 to 78 exchange. Hope you have lots of fun!
