DD 10 months & BF just hurting now???
DD is 10 months old, and has had 2 front bottom and 2 front top teeth for a couple weeks now.
I didn't notice much of a difference with how she latched/fed, but suddenly the last 2 days it hurts for her to eat on my left side. It's almost like either it's not a good latch or she's biting. Doesn't feel that way on the right side though!
Any ideas or suggestions? I put nipple cream on today and will keep doing that, but anything else?

Pregnant? She could be teething more too and not latching as well.

Pain during breastfeeding can have various causes. Your nursling may have changed her latch due to teething pain, a stuffy nose, or after using a sippy cup she really had to work at (one with a valve). You may have thrush, you may be pregnant, your fertility may be returning, she may be sliiping off without letting go or actively nursing while asleep.
When does it hurt? between nursings, at the beginning, middle or end of a feeding?
Does it get better or worse as she nurses?
What does the pain feel like?
Any other symptoms for her such as diaper rash or cold symptoms?
Any other symptoms for you such as itchyness or visible lacerations?

I guess I noticed it more at night the last 2 days, but my nipple still hurts right now (while she's in daycare) so maybe at this stage it was mainly one or two nursing sessions that made it sensitive and now it just seems like it hurts anew each time?
The possibility of her teething more might have something to do with it, but I'd be PSYCHED if it was because of returning fertility! What is the connection there, why does returning fertility make it more painful sometimes?
Also, as I mentioned it only hurts when she eats on one side. Are any of the possible explanations aligned with this symptom?
Thanks for your help all of you!
p.s. No other symptoms that I can think of. And it does feel like it's got to do with either biting or latch, just cuz it feels like it's her teeth. I just don't understand why her teeth would make a difference (or why she'd bite more) on one side vs. the other.

That happens when my daughter is teething-and for me its just the right side. It must be something with how she is aligned-because it doesn't matter where her teeth are coming in - its always my right side. I found that going back to the basics-using a pillow and holding the boob so that she can't "drag" on it or pull it-which is more of her issue while she is teething.
