Given the choice I'd say stay at home, but my friend was also my neighbor so DD just went to my friends house. Friend also had her 3 kids so DD was well entertained by the older ones (including a baby just a couple months older than DD).

Ouch. I get what you're saying but this post wasn't about which child to put first. It was about attempting to thwart any undue trauma (because yes, as over the top and lame as it sounds, this will essentially be the same as a traumatic event for DD2) for more than one person.

Thanks ladies. I'm sure they'll be fine and it's possible the surgical center won't even let me leave so this may all be a moot thread. I've never done this or had decide on something like this so I was just coming to see what others would do.

I am going to not check back in here though. I know it's ridiculous but I am am emotional basketcase these days (gotta love being 8 months pregnant!) and a couple posts have struck a nerve. Not sure why but when has late pregnancy ever been rational.
