Health and Healing - Health and Healing is a forum for discussion that reaches beyond mainstream health care norms. It embraces the wide variety of natural and alternative healing modalities as well as necessary conventional medical care. To further this aim please use the term "health care practitioner" rather than "doctor" to embrace the reality that there are other professionals out there to consult for health care needs.

Homeopathic Cough Treatment for Baby

My 9 month old has been battling a fever for the past few days.. no big symptoms since we're dosing her with a couple of herbs and vitamins c and d. she's now developing a cough (at night she gets a little stuffy). wondering what's the best thing to help it (any homeopathic remedies.. we have spongia tosta on hand). her past couple of colds have turned into croup and i'd rather not deal with it again we have a nebulizer if need be.

my 4 year old is dealing with the same cough as well, so it'd be great if we could get it for her as well.

thanks!

I'd use a vaporizer if your not already. I'd get something to put on her chest at night to help loosen up the mucous to help her cough. If you have a natural health food store, I'm sure they have natural versions of Vics or esential oil blends for little ones. Borion makes a good cough syrup that doesn't suppress symptons, its called Chestal. I'd just use a small dose for a 9 mo old.

We've always had really good results with belladonna with coughs - and spongia as well.
Belladonna is indicated when there is fever or redness.
