Gender: Female
So maybe this is just my ultrasound place, but after my ultrasound, when I was waiting for the doctor, the tech put up the screen with basic information. You know, my name and DOB, EDD, gestational age based on U/S all at the top, and at the bottom, detailed measurements.
I don't remember exactly, but the top of the screen looked something like this:
Name ....................... EDD
DOB ......................... gestational age ............ gender: Female
Now, I had already seen a very pronounced penis, so it took me just a second to realize they were talking about MY gender, but tell me that's not confusing!?!
Anyway, how many male obstetrics patients are they getting? It's not like every field had to be filled in -- my DOB was missing.

It's probably standard with the machine. They do do u/s on men, too, for various reasons, like kidney stones.
Still pretty funny though

Right, that was what I was thinking originally (even so I thought they could leave that space blank if they wanted to -- this wasn't a hospital ultrasound -- it's at an MFS office) but then I realized that considering the layout, this particular page can only be generated for pregnancies -- ever met a kidney stone with a "gestational age"?
ETA: I get it now; the reason the gender was filled out by not my DOB is that the gender must come pre-filled when you select the pregnancy screen!

That's funny - I did the exact same thing at the end of my 20 wk u/s. It took me a while to figure out that it could be my information. Once I saw "Gender: Female" I stopped looking, so I don't know for sure that it was my info I was seeing. So, I'm right back where I wanted to be, with the gender of baby being a surprise!
