Nioxin while pregnant
Ladies,
Does anyone know if Nioxin shampoo and conditioner are safe to use while pregnant? I am 19 weeks and have been using it for a while and did not think about it until today!
Any experience with that?

Good question. It's an anti-androgenic shampoo, correct? If so, I suppose it could potentially have hormonal effects on the fetus... Have you asked your mw/ob?

No, I have not. From what I read online, the manufacturers don't use hormones in their products.

Looks like the anti-androgen they use if saw palmetto. I'm taking it while nursing Ds but I take it in the morning after he nurses & in the evening, after he nurses to sleep. I read that taken orally, it has about a 1.9 hour half life.

I don't know about using it topically while pregnant though. My gut says it's probably okay, but I don't really know.
