lop sided boobs
Well.....I have a strange question...
Why is one boob so much bigger than the other? It isn't noticible with clothes on but the weight difference is very noticible.
The only thing I can come up with is that the bigger side is where DD liked to nurse so maybe it is getting ready for that, but I don't know.
Any ideas?

It sounds like they were not lopsided in another pregnancy? It would seem that that would be more consistent.
You certainly could have more breast tissue in one breast than the other and maybe that is why your dd preferred nursing on the one breast. Were you lopsided during lactation?
If you feel there are any abnormal changes to your larger breast, it's always a good idea to have them checked out!
Warmly,
LL

I'm not a CLC, but it makes natural sense to assume that if one breast got more attention than another one, that would be the one to produce more colostrum and grow during pregnancy. Even though each woman is different and some might not have this problem, it makes sense that our bodies remember things like now to function and what to prepare for. It's like how women pop out faster with their second babies because their uterus has already had a baby in there.
I wouldn't be concerned too much. When this baby comes, you *might* have to pay more attention to milk production in your smaller breast.. I'm not completely sure, though. Boob size does not impact milk production but they might just even out when your real milk comes in. I'd talk to your care provider about it

I know this is may sound a little far reaching, but after 4 kids, actually after #2 I noticed that my left breast layed just a little bit flatter than my right, and I realized that it was the breast that I held baby against when s/he was very small, w/ his/her little head resting on my shoulder. Picture what I'm taling about? Now I try to center them ! Well, actually my youngest is 21 months, so he's mostly on the hip, but if he falls asleep in my arms, I make sure he is resting in between, rather than on top! Perhaps? Maybe not. Maybe your boobies are just preparing for the great deluge of BM!

Thanks guys!
I will bring it up to the OB on Tuesday.
I will make sure there are no other breast changes as well. I have a few family members who have battled breast cancer (and survived) so I try and stay on top of them........well so does hubby but I think that's different LOL!!
I do think I remember dd nursing so much on the right because it was firmer and easier to latch onto. Who knows......
