Talking He is HERE:)

I had my VBAC! My dream came true. I was so nervous and worried about it. And then it happened.
On Thursday my dr checked me and I was 0cm dialated, not effaced and way posterior. I was sure I'd go way late and have a tough choice to make. Dr seemed discouraged too. Well the next day I woke up to contractions 4 min apart, 20 secs long. Took my 45 minute morning walk. Made DS and I breakfast and they kept coming got to be around 3 min apart and 35 secs long, then at noon they were 2 min apart and 40 secs long. My doula arrived and listened to baby's hr, checked me and I was 4cm. We headed to the hospital. Got there and was 5 cm. I was fine when I could walk thru my cx but of course. We got there and they strapped me down. I was miserable. Couldn't handle contracting like that in bed. So I told them to let me stand up or give me an epidural. They wouldn't let me stand up b/c I was a vbac, they were freaking out and made me lay down w/ the monitors on. So I waited until they could bolus me a bag of water and get everything checked and I got an epidural at 6cm. Now I see why ppl do VBACs at home. B/c laying in a bed contracting like that was more than I could handle.
My epidural only worked on one side (just like w/ DS). That was misery and made me nervous. Contractions on both sides felt normal but only having them in one spot made me think they weren't normal. His bag of waters broke and his hr went down. I was really scared that that would make me have another section. They rushed in w/ O2 for me and rolled me on the other side. Felt so much like my first time. But luckily his hr stabilized quickly. When my bag of waters ruptured (on it's own there was blood in it. This freaked everyone out. But my bp stayed normal and baby's hr stabilized quickly so they decided it's just b/c I bleed alot as I dialate. I quickly got to 9cm, doctor came and said I was +4 and that he thought my chances for a c-section were 0!!!!!That was THE BEST THING I COULD HAVE HEARD! I was over the moon at that point. My dream was coming true. I started pushing and he said he never does episiotomies but I needed one. I didn't know what to say. He said to try a couple more times and out came baby. I had a 2nd degree tear, that is pretty sore. But baby came out the right way and was healthy as can be! 1 min apgar was a 9!!! He is gorgeous. And it is SO amazing having all those newborn moments w/o surgery. By far one of the best moments of my life. I am still in a euphoric state b/c of how happy I am that I did it. I really didnt' think I could. I was so scared it would all happen like last time. But it went great. I went from 5-10 in 5 hours!! (last time I was in labor for 12 hours and still only 1.5 cm!)
I hope everyone can have that amazing experience b/c it is SO worth it! Thanks for all of your support thru the preggy, reading everyones posts and threads really helped me w/ the whole process!

Isn't that the most amazing feeling ever, when you realize that you actually, really and truly had a vbac? No section for you, thank you very much! Congrats!

I hope so too! I wish every mama could have a great birth without a doc deciding to cut them open! It is soooo amazing and worth all of your research, time and effort to make it happen!
