May 2010 Congratulations, and welcome to MDC's Due Date Clubs! MDC provides these "clubs" as a place where you can come together with other women due at the same time and discuss each stage of your pregnancy. Please do take some time to read the DDC Guidelines, posted at the top of each DDC. Posts that are of interest to the greater MDC community, or that are already hosted in other forums, will be moved.

Sick kid - just what I need

*sigh* DS2 was ok earlier today, but late this morning he started not feeling well.

He has been all over me all day.

He is running a fever. I have tried not to medicate, but finally broke down and it only brought his temp down 1/2 a degree.

He is also, to me lathargic. He comes and goes with being awake - will wake up for a minute or two and change positions in my arms/lap, then back to sleep.

You can ask him questions and sometimes he just continues to lay there and sometimes he just nods. He is not wanting to move.

I don't think he has urinated since about 1 pm today. Since about 11, he has had a popcicle and about 8-10 oz water and 4 grapes.

Now to keep him away from DD2 (24 months) and older brother 6 1/2.

Hopefully I wont catch it, with being pregnant, but I have had so much exposure it is not even funny.

Oh mama, I hate when my kids feel bad. My big ones are almost as big as me any way (I'm short, DH is tall, kids are tall) so my 10yr old is up to my nose. Anyway, I can't just wrap them in my lap, but B is only 16 months old and when he doesn't feel well, just lays all over me. It's hard to want to protect them but not get sick at the same time. I hope he feels better soon mama!!!

Oh no, sorry to hear it! Update on how everyone is feeling now?

I much rather be pregnant in the colder months than in the hotter ones but goodness it brings some not fun things some times.

I always pray that my body will be strong and fight it off and become immune without succombing. I think of myself as becoming super immune when I'm being coughed on and am wiping runny noses and cleaning up vomit. Helps somehow instead of just being paranoid that I'll get sick, even though its just a silly mind-game I play with myself.
