Doppler to borrow?

Does anyone happen to have a doppler I could borrow? I know they are a pricey and valueble item but I just want to use it a couple of times to let my daughter hear. She was very involved with my last pregnancy and she is already asking if she will get to be in with me when I deliver...OF COURSE I tell her, she was my greatest strength and support! Can anyone help out?
Thanks

Can't you take her to some appts. to hear the heart tones? Also, unless birthing at a birthing center or home she will not be able to be there since all area hospitals are no longer allowing children in L&D and even limiting visitors after.

She's in school and I am hoping that she will be able to go with me to an early morning appt. She was with me at my son's birth here at AAMC, and I hope not to have an issue, because she will be there again...I'd like to see them fight me in labor! lol just kidds.

Currently there is no kids under 18 allowed on any unit in AAMC. You will need to contact the hospital for a special allowance if you are due in Flu season. Labor is not the time to fight this fight. They will make special exceptions but I dont know what or when those exceptions are in place for. I have not seen a child since the restriction went in place.

I think you better have a backup plan. The hospitals are being extremely rigid on this. Some hospitals women have had trouble getting their DOULA allowed in with them.

You can have a doula still at AAMC. You can have up to 5 support people, but they must be adults and free of cold/flu symptoms. If you go to a birth center there wont be any of these restrictions.

They are not going to allow anyone under 18 in, period. If you want her with you, you should consider birthing at Bay Area Midwifery or Special Beginnings.
