I also think that leggings make it so a shorter dress can be worn for a longer period of time. With tights, if the dress is short, it's SHORT, with leggings, well, it's closer to being a tunic or something.

That's a good point. Tights are more like underwear, and leggings are more like a regular piece of clothing, huh?

I have a question about sizing. My 3y7mo is just on the border between 90cm and 100cm sizes, according to their website. She is about 37" and 30lbs, with proportionally long legs. She has some Hanna shirts in 90 which fit pretty nicely now, a skort in 90 which fits exactly right, and jeans in 90 which are big in the waist and bottom but fit lengthwise. If I want to get her some sweats and leggings (and a top) should I get 90 or 100? I don't mind things being a bit big but I would want her to be able to wear it now and not have to wait until next winter! But I don't want her to grow out of it too soon either. Do Hannas just run kind of wide? She's pretty firmly in a 3T with everything else.
What do you all think? 90 or 100? I do have a 15 month old DD as well so we get double use out of everything!

I would probably get 100's. My 2.5 yr old fits into 90 (pants and tops) but will be growing out of them pretty soon, I'm thinking. He is in 3T for other brands - though some pants run a bit long.
Or better yet, can you try them on first? or order online and exchange them if the fit is too huge.

I'd do the 100s. My DD is a bit skinnier than the sizes too, but somehow even loose waists stayed up pretty well.

I love Hanna's but on Ebay it still seems expensive even used. Any tips?

Well, they simply are expensive, so even used they'll be somewhat more expensive than the cheaper stuff, BUT they are very well made and last forever (barring stains!)
Its been almost a year since I went ebay crazy buing used hannas, but I got shirts for around $5 and pants around $8. These were in like new condition mostly. Not sure if you think that's expensive or not, but I found it reasonable.
We also buy a lot less clothes than some people we know that buy at target, etc. DS generally has about 6 outfits per season (6 pants/shorts, 6-8 shirts, and in winter 3-4 sweaters). I do laundry 2x week, so it works for us!
We also buy some used Gap stuff at a local consigment shop for similar prices to used hanna. All in all I think we spend the same, if not less, than folks buying 20+ outfits at target/old navy...
Finally, hanna does pretty hefty markdowns at the end of each season. You can't be too picky, though, but I've gotten brand new stuff for 50-75% off.
Good luck!

Go by height and never size up. Skirts run big!

DS had some size 90 jammies that he was able to wear for over two years.
Hanna stuff is so awesome (even better if you can get it at an outlet!!)
