We're doing pretty well. I'm TIRED! My milk came in quickly and there is plenty. Woohoo! But, the girls aren't nursing long enough to provide me with much relief. They nurse for about 10 minutes and fall asleep, only to wake up in an hour and do the same thing. I'm hoping they'll start sleeping longer stretches so they're actually really hungry when they cue to feed.

I have tandem nursed them a few times, but it's tough to make sure they keep a good latch when we do. It's so hard when one is nursing and then the other wakes and starts crying. Uggggh.

Lucy calls!

They're huge! Great job growing them Lindsey!

I just showed the pics to my mom, who was with me when my boys were born, and she said your almost full term twins are cuter than my scrawny little preemies were!

They are beautiful Lindsey! Way to grow those babies!!!

Do you have an EZ 2 Nurse pillow? It is a huge foam nursing pillow that works wonderfully with twins. I don't know how I couldv'e done without it in the early weeks. You can nurse 2 babes and have 2 hands free! They are a little spendy, but if you can find one used it's not too bad. Well worth it in my opinion.

My boys have gotten too big for it now, so if you're interested I might be willing to part with mine.

Oh they are just beautiful! Congrats. Your pictures made me get excited to meet my little one in December.

Ditto the suggestion for the EZ to Nurse pillow -- I used it til my girls were almost a year old. Also, I couldn't really tandem nurse my girls til they were almost 3 weeks old, or so, and we worked out the issues we were dealing with. Keeping them awake while they nursed was one of the big struggles.

Thanks mamas.

I do have an EZ2Nurse pillow and like it ok, but we seem to do better with two regular pillows.

I actually did better with the EZ2Nurse pillow once my twins were a bit less floppy. They always seemed to roll into the crack! I used lots of pillows at first, though it was several weeks before I was really comfortable tandeming.

They are gorgeous, mama. And I love all the vernix in the 1st 2 pix. Those girls were certainly not overdue! (You were almost induced, iirc?) They came at just the right time.

What beautiful, healthy babies!: Way to go mama!

And yes, I remember in those early days how difficult it was to tandem...or how torn I felt whenever I had one latched on and then the other one would wake and start crying.

Hang in there; it gets much easier with the nursing and it goes by quickly...it may not feel like it the first few months, but time really will fly by in a blur.

Congratulations!
