I take comfort in the fact that surely Kenley will be gone next week. She is both personally annoying and unprofessional AND not executing the challenges. And how anyone at what, 25?, think they know more than Tim Gunn is beyond me.
Suede would have gone this week or next -- he's clearly not in the top 3. But I didn't think his was nearly as off as Kenley.
Am I the only one that think they could have made this much more interesting with a broader definition of "genre" of music? Where were the classical genres? Jazz? I would have loved to watch someone struggle with "chant" or something where they had to think about the inspiration, not just copying some current star.

Chant would have been very, very cool. As would jazz. Too bad Kenley couldn't have "fifties rock".

I was shocked last night and I couldn't believe Kenley's attitude! You do NOT diss on Tim!
I agree with the above quote about the musical genres. Why would they just copy a star, rather than think about what the music INSPIRES?? Grrrr.
What's with all the tears next week? Even Korto was crying! I can't wait to see next week's episode!
And bring on Bryant Park with Korto, Jarrell, and Leanne!!! :

I was horrified at the way Kenley made poor sweet Leanne look. Besides for the travesty of an outfit, what was with the Flock of Seagull hair? LMAO!
And the fact that LL Cool J was the judge for that challenge was priceless. You could tell he was holding back the guffaws.

Anyone watching that episode could see that. They sold out when the kept Kenley.

There's a little blurb at the end of the show to the effect the Producers and the Judges decide who leaves the show. I bet the Producers wanted to keep Kenley because she's someone we like to hate. Producers keep the difficult, diva, dramatic types.
Poor Suede's outfit was rock n roll. He didn't deserve to leave this week. I'm going to miss listening to him talk about himself in the third person.

I was very mad at the judges decision too. Kenley's was way off the mark. It wasn't hip hop at all, and it was made bad. Suede's looked rock n roll i thought. Sometimes i can never figure out what exactly the judges are looking for.
Suede as "punk" suede was hilarious. i couldn't stop laughing, And i'm super excited for next week , i can't imagine what makes them all cry like that.

I think Kenley's "hip hop" outfit for Leanne, and being all serious about how authentic it was and how hip hop is NOT oversized clothes, was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time! Jerrell just letting her go at it was so funny.

Totally agree with the comments about Kenley.
I hope Jerrell wins, with Korto is second and Leanne third. I would still be happy to see Korto win, though! How did we already get to top 4??????? It feels like we just started watching and it's almost over!

I think Kenley's outfit was the worst and I actually very much liked some of Suede's pieces but I still think it was probably the right decision by the judges. Kenley has turned out some really interesting and different work, very well made, even if its all tending toward the same genre, and I think they sort of hope she can realize she's being defensive and take this criticism and use it (I think they are wrong, but I can see hoping that...remember they don't see the workroom tapes)
Suede has been in the bottom three multiple times and while I loved some of the pieces he's made over the course of the show, I think he consistantly lacks a good sense of how to put a look together. Everything he made for Jerrell to wear was great (I actually really loved using that sweet watercolor floral as a rocker shirt! brilliant) but it just fails to come together. He needs to do a stint with a stylist to focus more on creating an entire look..it was a problem last week with the photographer too.
I do think that Leanne, Korto and Jerrell are the only ones who consistantly are able to pull off truly interesting things and if Kenley beats out one of them I will be annoyed. I think Leanne is young and is inconsistant but when she's on, she's the best of them. While Korto is consistantly turning out stylish easy to wear pieces and might be able to put together the best collection. Jerrell's stuff is always attractive and wearable but it feels like we still haven't seen any real inspiration from him yet..but I also feel like the challenges this time around haven't lent themselves to it often enough. (where is something like the "couture challenge"...having to both design for the other designers and use the music theme was just too much constraint for one challenge I thought)

I always wonder what the judges think when they see the workroom footage- I keep forgetting that they don't. You see so much more of everyone's personality in the workroom, as well as all the drama.

i like suede, but i don't think he is bold enough for project runway.... he doesn't take enough risks and isn't willing to put himself out there.
i really felt kenely's outfit SUCKED last week, but i do think they are keeping her for the drama factor....
i am hoping korto wins... i love her and i think she is very very talented. (and how cool is it that no [redundant] gay white men will be in the top three??)

I was watching a re-run and totally forgot about this the first time! I thought it was great that you could tell he was trying NOT to laugh.
Poor Leanne. Kenley tried to not make her look like a fool...all the while making her look like a fool.
Does anyone have any predictions on who is going to win? I think either Jerrell or Korto.

Kenley should have gone home - I felt bad for Suede.
I guess I am alone in wanting Leanne to win! I feel like she has had some wow! pieces along with some really good/mostly good pieces - I don't remember hating anything of hers.
I think both Korto and Jerell have had some fantastic pieces, but none of them were wow! pieces for me. I do like Korto a lot, but almost all of hers seem wearable and not the over-the-top things I am used to seeing on the show. (I guess that could be a good thing, but I feel like she is missing some of the dramatic pieces that others have had). I feel like Leanne has had more interesting pieces than the others...
Jerell for me has been hit and miss. There were some that I loved, but some that I didn't like. I just haven't felt like he is as consistent as the others.
But I think any of the three could pull out a great collection.
If Kenley beats any of them, I will be annoyed!

i think the final three will be the ladies, but i would love to see kenley go home tonight. :
when will that girl learn. the people on the show have jobs in fashion, so it would do her well to listen to them. i hate that she thinks she's all that and puts down her fellow designers. and then saying leanne didn't sell the outfit. as if it's leanne's fault that it wasn't well received.

sorry, i don't know how to do spoilers so don't read this if you don't want to know!!!
what a freakin' cop out from the judges! i understand that it can be hard to make a decision, but come on! that's your job, TO JUDGE! this is two seasons in a row now where the judges chickened out and sent all four home to make collections. are future seasons going to just send all 4 to bryant park since none of the judges can be bold enough to take a stand? jeepers. sorry for the rant... can i blame being pregnant?

Oh man, I was mad at the judges too! Just send someone home. What made me really mad was that it's not just Korto and Kenley, who had the two lowest scores, competing to go to Bryant Park! Jerell, who won this last challenge, has to compete to be in Bryant Park! Leanne too! I was not happy.
On the dresses, I really liked Korto's. I guess I can see the point about it being too pagent-ish, but I thought it was beautiful. I like Leanne's too. I wasn't sure about Jerell's- his model looked like she was going to pop out of it! I wasn't a fan of Kenley's. I think she missed the challenge completely. She told Heidi she wasn't going for elegance? It's an evening gown!
Kenley was too much this episode with her drama and attitude. It was telling that no other contestant wanted her to go to the finale. I don't think she sees anything wrong with her behavior- she's used to playing the victim.

I loved Korto's ... I had really figured she'd win. And while I didn't like Kenley's (oh my goodness, that awful fabric!), the only one I really hated was Jerell's. Go fig.

I'm kind of glad they decided to allow everyone to create a line. I think leaving it the way they did makes it more exciting. And as much as Kenley annoys me I'm still curious as to what she'll make.

I totally agree, that's why they are judges!! They should be able to choose a winner and loser. And it isn't very fair to Jerrell and Leanne who got the highest scores!
But, of course it will be interesting as all 4 are distinct, to see the different collections they come up with.
It seems like Kenley is in a bad place emotionally! I almost feel bad for her. I did hear that on reality shows they keep the contestants sleep deprived to heighten the drama, and that's what they all seemed like this time. Really sleep deprived and emotional.
Kenley may have "grown up tough" but that wasn't what she was exemplifying! Tough is much different than cocky, rude, defensive, and refusing to listen to helpful advice from people experienced in the industry you're trying to break into!

I was also mad at the judges last night for not picking someone to go home. I mean, come on now! I hate that they did this last year, and then again this year. It's their job as judges to be decisive. UGH. I hate indecisiveness.
Kenley's whole "oh boo hoo no one ever likes me" sob story...PUHLEEZE. Oh nooo, she had a hard life, poooor baby. That's no excuse for acting like a little b**** and having an attitude. I'm so glad the judges started calling her out on it.
Leanne's dress was so pretty. It could've done without that dark blue fabric she threw on at the end, that was very distracting, and reminded me of someone with static cling. Michael Kors was hilarious when he was describing all her ruching "they seem like such serious pleats." I would've definitely worn that dress to an evening function, minus the dark blue static cling lookin' fabric.
I felt bad for Jerell's model! Poor girl probably thought she was about to flash the whole world her breasts. The whole time she was walking down the runway, she was probably thinking "please stay up dress, please stay up!" I liked the colors, but not really the shape.
Korto's dress was nice. The color was awesome! I liked the pictures she took, too. Kenley's was ehh. Looked like some sort of purple freakazoid mermaid, IMO.
