we've been horribly lame about shooting the baby. though my friend spent yesterday afternoon taking pictures so we'll see how they turn out. in the meantime...

I'm taking a leap here and saying that setting is probably for show. Even if she TRIED there's no way a baby this young would even swallow solids most likely. They'd just spit it out. NOT that I think anyone should try this, however.
is that a p sling brooklynbabymama?

for sure, but makes for a tricky picture
yep, it's a psling. but dd just let me start wrapping him this week. major jealousy issue, apparently wrapping is our thing. but walking for hours every day with the one-shoulder carry was getting super old.

Yeah wrapping is more comfortable long term. I like my psling for around the house, it's easy to just slip on and stick the baby in. But this baby doesn't love the psling and prefers to be against my chest usually. The only time I can get her to tolerate the p sling is when she is dead asleep

I was at ombrooklyn's last weekend for a bbq and Jackie was flipping out in the psling...so I got him settled tummy-to-tummy for the first time ( here's from the walk home) and he promptly crashed. Much better distribution of weight on my shoulder, too!

Yes they do! I have one more to take a picture of and one that I can't seem to get quite right. The ear flaps just look funny. I'm going to try one more idea tonight and if that doesn't work I'll take pictures and let you pick which option you like. None of the ideas are bad or ugly, just not what I was hoping for. Sorry it's taking so long to get them out to you, I just don't want to send you ugly stuff!

it's actually black. I have no idea why my camera photographs black as purple (white balance issue maybe?). I need to fix that. but thanks!! I do like purple I look pretty good in most saturated/dark colors.

Exactly... I'm surprised ANYONE would think that picture was anything but us goofing around as usual.
