Smile Natural Teething Remedies

Does anyone know of a natural teething remedy. I have used Hyland's Teething tablets, chamomilia, calcium cabonica and belladonne without much success. any other ideas?

thanks,

B

I make chamomile tea ice cubes in a little ice cube tray that came w a small frig unit.
I put the ice cubes in a hanky and crush, I secure the hanky together.
My ds loved them and was calmed.
I have also used a little mesh feeder thing w a handle and if I don't have chamomile tea cubes made regular work as well.

with my little guy the hylands tablets didnt contain the right remedy. We had luck with another homeopathic remedy under the name Vibercol. Ive seen ads for it in back issues of mothering.

Errr - I don't know if I'm going to get flamed for this.

But the old school GP that lives next door recommended whiskey (Or any strong drinking alcohol - vodka, rum, what ever you have on hand.). Dip your finger in the whiskey and rub it on the sore area - the alcohol numbs the pain and acts as a anesthetic. Additionally, the pressure of the finger rubbing the area seems to soothe my ds...

I guess it's a natural remedy...:

Well, probably not useful for you as you say the Hyland's tabs weren't helpful and the main ingredient is the same, but we swear by Boiron's single-dose Camilia. It has a lot more packaging than the Hylands tablets : but dd actually swallows it instead of drooling out a dissolved tablet.

Have you tried multiple doses of the Hylands? Sometimes it wouldn't work for us until dose 2 or 3 (15 minutes apart). Also I got in the habit of starting out with 3 tablets, instead of 2.

My BIL swears that celery is slightly numbing, so if baby will chew on it a cold celery stick may be worth a try?

very natural. in fact, what i find most effective is taking a swig of the whiskey myself. in my relaxed state i can handle the teething baby much better
