What is the difference between all of these? Which are the best?
I went to the Granitesmith store on Ebay that I have heard so many of you talking about. I really want to get some toddler size CPF's- and I want the best quality you can find.
I love the Indian perfolds that she sells, they are SUPER soft and real absorbant. They are real easy to pin, too. I think that that run a tad small, though. I use the toddler size on my 23 pound DS. Love em lots!
Someone emailed Granitesmith about which were the softest and most absorbant, they replied Indian hands down. Now this was after I had bought 1.5 dozen regular CPFs somewhere else but now I will only buy Indian PFs at granitesmith
Indian are the softest, they don't come with any starch/sizing on them so they are soft before your first washing. Bit bulkier.
European are the most durable, outlasting other prefolds, but they don't quilt up as much. Which also makes them a bit trimmmer.
Chinese are the most common, cheapest, and not the highest quality compared to other prefolds.
Granitesmith also carries the ProServices(maker of Proraps) prefolds and Baby Textiles prefolds. They come in white only. Standard diaper service prefolds, sold to the public...more or less.
I have a sample of all of them. If you email Teresa I am sure she would send you one of each in the size you need, so you could see for your self.....just a thought. : )
By far, the Indian are my favorites. They quilt up quite a bit more, so are a *little* bulkier, but not enough to make a bog difference. They do seem to shrink a little more. My India infants are just about 1/4 inch shorter than my cpfs...but I always reach for them first!
Go to ebay and do a seller search for granitesmith. Thats how I did it. I just bid on a dozen indian prefolds for the baby we are expecting soon.
