I have read that as long as you check the plastic and lift periodically to keep it from overheating, it can be good for helping to germinate seeds in the ground and then for helping seedlings stay warm. Some sources say to switch to a floating row cover, more breathable, when the plants are mature.
Anyone tried plastic sheeting/row covers? What are your experiences with them? TIA!
