I am looking at vacating a garden space and moving to another... the neighbor is having issues with it and it might be worth keeping the peace...

Anyhow, I'm willing to call most things a loss, but I really want to try and move my tomato and pepper plants. I know that tomatoes might do well since they'll put out more roots up the stem... but what about peppers? The pepper plants have been in the ground for about 2 months and are about 2 feet tall. Is there any hope for transplanting them, if I'm careful to keep them good and moist at first?

Try and get as big of root ball as possible, don't knock any dirt off if you can help, Might want to stake them in their new spot (kinda like you would do tomato (just be sure to get the stakes in the ground before you move the peppers. and make sure you put them back in the ground at the same level as they were before, do that and keep them watered and you should be ok. An overcast, not blistering hot day would be a good one, if it is extra hot and your only day to work, then you might want to shade and water midday.
