Okay, so attempting to dehydrate the already minced garlic that comes in a jar...just so I don't have to chop it.......with the idea to keep for long term food storage, etc......but ...the dices don't work well in my dehydrater shelf.....and putting them a paper towel on the dehyd. shelf doesn't work either...........what else to do? Thanks.
Why don't you buy the already dehydrated minced garlic if you're using the stuff from a jar? The jarred stuff is so expensive - way more expensive than the dried. I could see dehydrating your own fresh garlic, but it really seems like more work and expense to dry the jarred stuff. Just saying. :-)

Fruit leather trays. That's how I dehydrate all my teeny stuff.
Along the lines of another poster, Costco has respectable sized containers of dried garlic slices for a few bucks.
And if you have a semi-cool, dry space in your house/garage that doesn't hit freezing, you can store garlic almost until the next harvest season. Well, or within a few months at least. I still have some garlic cloves that are attempting to poke out little green shoots that I need to roast up for yumminess. :)
