I just sketched my property with the bagua overlaid and I'm trying to come up with ideas.  I'm reading books too.  What are you doing in your garden?

I found a book at the library about feng shui gardening that got me thinking about it.  As a mom on a budget, I can't really overhaul my garden, but I've been thinking about some long-term projects.  I put up a fake owl to keep squirrels out of my garden, and it happens to be in my knowledge sector, so it is ironically appropriate!  Hahaha!

And I learned that the turtle sandbox in the backyard is a very good symbol.  You are supposed to have a turtle at the back of your house to represent security.  :)

I had a feng shui consultation done at my house once and she said to have things in the red spectrum (pink, red, purple) at the entrance ways. She pointed out that's easy if you're a gardener  - just have something of that color growing by the entrance door(s).  I do it there and the entrance to the garden.I'd be interested to hear more ideas, though!

Red is almost always a great color to add more energy to a location.  I have yellow marigolds by the sidewalk leading up to my front door.  My son picked them out and I love them!  Yellow is also a cheerful color.  Some of the basic feng shui concepts are to keep everything neat and clean.  Clutter is very bad!  Also don't keep anything broken laying around--it creates bad vibes.
