This is the second year I'm having pepper trouble. The leaves are spotted and a little crinkly and the buds are turning brown and falling off. Some I bought and some I started from seed. I planted them in a new part of the garden. Last year it was still grass. My tomatoes are doing great.
It looks like the pictures of bacterial leaf spot. From the research I did, it looks like if that's the case I don't have much control over it. It even said that it's carried in the seeds, but in the past 2 years I've had plants and/or seeds from 4 different sources and they've all gotten it. I do grow mostly nightshade family veggies (makes crop rotation difficult if they're all related), but I planted the peppers in a totally new spot. This has been an extremely dry year, and it's supposed to thrive when it's wet. I'm not watering that much. The only control I've found when they already have it is copper and mint.
I'll give it a try, but any other ideas what this could be and what to do about it? We really like peppers!
