I'm interested in growing edibles on my 1 acre wooded lot. I love the trees and want to keep them. We get some light, but not a whole lot. What kinds of plants would do well?

Most fruiting things do better with 5 to 6 hours of sun. You may not be able to do this without some tree sacrifice. The only other tact to take would be for you to add fruiting trees and hope they got enough sun to produce. Apples, pears, paw paws, mulberry come to mind.
