At the Kew Royal Gardens in England the worlds largest flower just bloomed for the second time. The last time it bloomed was in 1889! This amorphophallus smells like rotting flesh when it flowers and is truly a spectacle!

Just found this when I was looking for an old post with the web addy of that massive gardening discussion board ( which I didn't find ) I simply loved kew gardens. I used to go there all the time when i was in england. They have so many rare & unusual plants there. Things like that species of cycad ( I think ) that is the only one ever found & it's male. They found it in zululand in the 1880s. I loved the carnivorous plants & the giant water lillies. The victorian glass houses are out of this world too.
