I recently planted a variegated dogwood and now all the leaves have teeny tiny brownish red speckles. Any ideas what that is? I hope it doesn't die, it's really pretty.
ETA: It looks like spot anthracnose and can be treated with a fungicide.
It's funny I never got around to buying fungicide, but the plant is growing lots of new leaves without mold spots on them. It may have been a bit of transplant shock that lowered its immune system temporarily.
