I am hot to trot to have a native meadow in my yard.

I have an acre + to plant on. Right now the land is flat and grassy/weedy ( an old vineyard/farm was pulled out before we got the property and so it's neglected).

I am in Northern California.

I have found one article on it but was wondering if any of you have created a natural meadow before.

Sounds like a great idea! I'm not in your region of the earth could try calling the us department of agriculture, the resouce conservation district...something like that...I worked with folks in NJ that were so helpful about planting natives, what to plant, they might even be able to send out someone to help. maybe worth a phone call.

I don't have a 'meadow', mostly woods on my property...but I wish you much luck!
