Help - All of my plants died this week - Mothering Forums

I don't know what happaned. I have a bed of Lillies, and Fatsia Japonica (shade plants) that have been growing beautifully for over a year. All of a sudden this week they have all fallen over, are turning brown and limp. It has gotten warmer, but they are still in full shade like always. I am not a green thumb, and was so proud of my longest living plants - they were so pretty. Is it too late to save them, any suggestions?

i'd dig up one and check the roots to see if something is attacking from underground.

They get watered regularly, but I wonder if in the heat of the last few weeks, if it just wasn't enough. I will try digging up one of the lillies, since they look the worst.
