My ds's "pet plant" got frozen 2 nights ago. I live in Houston where it rarely gets below freezing and i never think about covering my plants!!!! It really is his pet and he loves this plant. We brought it in last night but it looks really shabby!!!!

Is there anyway I can save it???

BTW~~~ I do not have a green thumb!!!!!:

I think it is some sort of spider plant and it is a good size.....had it thriving for about 2 years. I've had to repot it twice to keep up with the growth!

ok that is a tropical but may be ok

bring it in
and cut off all the frozen mush if it is mush.

If it is not and is just turning black, cut off the black parts, even if you are cuttin off most of the plant.

You MAY see new growth.

THose are pretty hardy plants. It will prolly make it. Just keep it in till warmer weather.

If you cut off the dead parts and get it into the sun it should grow back....I have two spider plants that I freeze at least every other year! I get tired of bringing them in on mon. when its 30 degrees outside then hauling them back out on wed because its 80 degrees!
