I think I am going to be spending a month there this summer so my son age 3 can learn Thai. We will be staying with relatives but need information about preschools.

I'm in Thailand, been here for almost 9 years. There are 100s of preschools, some local, some bilingual, and some international.

Very unlikely to be learning Thai in just one month, even with a full immersion local preschool though. Your relatives would best be able to find out how the closest neighborhood school works and the price. Most schools, the price is the same whether your child goes all day every day or part time.

Where will you be living? Bangkok?

He speaks a little thai already and Daddy has been speaking it to him since birth so I am hoping full immersion will do the trick. Ya a local preschool is probally the best. I just worry about my relatives picking on for me. I am pretty picky about schools. I wish he could go to one of the waldorf schools but I think they are both to far.
Anyway the address we will be living at I think is this. Well thats the mailing address DH's mom gave us. I think it should be kinda of correct but I have no clue where in town that would be.

That is very central Bangkok. I don't think you really need to be too picky since it's one month. You could easily find a very local preschool for all day, from before breakfast until late afternoon that does everything from play to thai letters. Any waldorf type schools would not be Thai immersion. And keep in mind that the city is huge and you don't want to be wasting 2 hr a day just on travel to get him there and back.

Thanks that helps. The whole thing kinda of makes me nervous becuase I will be staying with my mother in law and my husband isn't coming. Thats nice to know that its central. Hopefully I can do some site seeing or something while he is in school.
