I've never needed it for my nipples, so now I'm using it on my lips. It's one ingredient, and it works well, so that's one switch. I'm experimenting for other things.

My 10 yo son recently had a very bad case of chapped lips that ended up involving his chin, and the sides of his mouth-it was painful and cracked. The Lanolin cleared it within 1 week

I have always needed lip balm, and was blissful when I discovered lanolin as lip balm 6 years ago. It's perfect!

DD just weaned and I have a tube and a half left from nursing. I started putting it on my lips as well. I have also used it for DD's diaper rash and last year I was sick and my nose was red and dry from using tissues I put the lanolin on my nose and it was such relief.

Yes. I use it for hangnails, chapped hands in the winter, chapped skin around my DD's mouths in the winter, chapped noses from colds, and chapped lips!

hmmm I may have to try this, my cracked cuticles are ready to bleed right now! I think the scent may bother me on my lips though

I love lanolin on other areas, but I can't use it on my lips. For my lips I love coconut oil or a little jojoba oil.

I don't notice a scent. You must have a sensitive nose.

The scent bothers me too, but I also put lanolin on my feet, knees and elbows every night.

I used to use it too for cracked lips, those little winter cracks you get at the corners of your mouth. Plus when DC were teething it helped keep their chin/cheeks from getting irritated. I also found that organic EVOO is very healing as well. I get extremely dry scalp in the winter, I found that if I rubbed a few drops into my scalp and left on for a little while followed by a shampoo it really helped my scalp. I often sneak a little EVOO while cooking to put on my lips
