Made my own lip balm today but don't really like the way my lips feel after it has worn off. They feel slightly dry or tight. Too much beeswax? Used the beeswax, a few org oils (sweet almond, coconut, olive) and a little shea and cocoa butter. Any ideas?

Hmm, too much beeswax wouldn't make them dry. It would make your lip balm drag on your lips and not glide on.

Could you be allergic to shea? I have a minor latex allergy and shea (in the latex family) really dries out my skin and makes it itchy. Also, coconut oil is a drying oil so, depending upon your percentage, that might be the culprit.
