I think it's about time to do my son's hair! Just Im not sure where to go with it
This is fresh from a bath. He hates shampoo and getting water rinsed on his head, and its dense so it takes alot to wash out, so I skip the shampoo often. This hair is from Avalon conditioner and burt's bees apricot oil only
Lots of curls! However, 2 days later .....
This is actually much softer this time, I dont normally use the apricot oil but his curls normally piece of and start to lock naturally ( you can see a bit of this)
In the past, I normally spritz it with water and lather Aveeno lotion on my hands and string it through his hair, which gives the bath look. But now, his hair is much longer and thicker and I would have to soak his hair to do this, and it's not realistic everyday, especially since were barely into a Canadian winter.
I dont mind the crazy hair, its very much my son's personality (as you can tell by the pirate temporary tattoo on his neck courtesy of his tattooed uncle) But his family has mentioned about cutting it and I thinking the primarly all caucasian daycare he's starting will be taken back by his very lovely puff
I cannot braid hair, and live in a rural area where there is no natural hair salon's, I would drive to get it done, but the time and effort for him to have braids in for 2-3 weeks isn't realistic.
Im looking into twists and locs, Im willing to get that done by a professional initially and do upkeep myself. Im also willing to gradually twist it myself and let it naturally lock
Cutting is not an option for me! WWYD?
His hair is approx. 5-6inches long
