There was a thread a couple of weeks ago about carpet cleaning a couple of you mentioned using Dr. Bronner's in the cleaner. How much do you use? And if I make a pretreat spray how much water and Dr. Bronner's would I use?

Thanks for you help!!

And with a toddler around it gets plenty of use! I just use a few squirts in a spray bottle and fill the rest up with water. Then I just spray it on the spot and scrub.

I use about 8 good squirts of Dr. Bronners in the cleaner's tank and add water enough to fill. It makes for a lovely minty smell. As for the spot cleaner, I second merrick's approach.

I have a HUGE bottle that i'm trying to find ways to use. But doesn't this carpet cleaning leave a soapy residue?? I've got some serious spots that need treatment (3 kids under 8...go figure).

Dr. Bronner's rinses pretty well, but if you're worried about soap residue in your carpet, spray the area with vinegar and water (50/50) and pat. Repeat. Vinegar will help lift out any remaining soap and deodorize.
