I just read a blog post about making your own tooth powder and I'm waffling about giving it a try. Someone commented on the post saying they used calcium bentonite clay to help build stronger teeth without the fluoride and that pushed me a bit closer to trying it out, especially since I have a huge container of clay that I never used. (Tried it for greasy scalp during the no-poo transition but it didn't work the way I'd hoped, and it's too drying on my face....)
Anyhoo, I went to get it so I could make the tooth powder, and it says, "For external use only" and the only uses the label mentions are for skin care. Is it safe to use as tooth powder if I'm not planning to swallow it? Or should it not even go in my mouth? Would it be safe for kids to use?
