I was looking at soap recipes today and found a recipe for lip balm and it looked so easy I had to try it. I use a lot of chapstick so I thought it would be fun to actually make my own.

The recipe called for lanolin, petroleum jelly, beeswax, honey and the essential oil of your choice. I used peppermint and eucalyptus. It turned out really well and made about two or three tablespoons of lip balm which I poured into a little container with a lid. Now I have enough to last for quite a while.

Boy, that was fun, but cleaning up was kind of a drag. Now I want to experiment with different ingredients to see what I can come up with. If anyone wants the recipe I can post the link for you.

I dont' like to use petroleum, so I make mine with sweet almond oil, tea tree oil, and beeswax

It is wonderful!
