We have a nice woven cotton tablecloth, and in spite of some care, our "dinner-mood-enhancing" candles left some not so aesthetically pleasing spatters of wax in the fabric. The larger bits we can scrape off, but there are small spots in the fabric. Anyone have a good trick for getting these out? thanks!
You put it upside down on your ironing board (so the wax is facing down) and put another piece of fabric under that. Then iron the back side and it should melt the wax and set it to the second piece of fabric.
place a paper bag underneath and on top of spots and iron. Keep ironing with new paper bag until all of the spots are absorbed. just did it for our t-day tablecloth!
I got wax out my placing newspaper over the wax and ironing it but that was carpet...I don't know about tablecloths
