I open my dishwasher and there is a glass jar with sticker still in it in there! : Is my DH the only one that thinks this is the way to do this? I tell him the label needs to be removed first but he doesnt see the point. Amazingly it held well. I am guessing I dont need to worry about glue or ink being all over my dishes. They looked fine. Would this bug you?

LOL! The opinions are reversed in our house!
He yells at me all the time for putting jars in the dishwasher and forgeting (or in his words, refusing) to take the labels off! He does all the dishes in the house.

So yeah, I agree (even though I forget or refuse!) that the labels need to come off first or they get baked on and never come off...and get stuck to your other nonrecyclable dishes!

I always wash jars with labels on because they seem to come off easier once washed.
They dont seem to get stuck on anything or cause any problems.

I use air dry on my dishwasher.

yes I do reuse glass jars.

Yep, I reuse glass jars and I do wash them in the dishwasher to get the labels off. I save the jars for homemade gifts, usually.

Why does it bug you that he doesn't remove the label first? It comes off in the dishwasher, but can't go down the drain.

LOL Ok so I guess he is right I am a "picky" person when it comes to processes so I was convinced he did it wrong LOL I better go tell him he will be happy I think I am going to eat some chocolate and learn to be more relaxed about everything!

Man the label held 100% to the dishwasher other than maybe a tad faded so I still had to peel by hand which was easier as it was a little softer from being wet

Yeah, that's probably it. We use the heat dry option so they get baked on.
