I'm curious about those Burt's Bees lip shimmer things, but I'm also cheap so I wanted to get some "reviews".

I don't like wearing anything that feels like waxy lipstick? Does anyone know what these "feel" like? Is the color mostly sheer, or is it really bold?

I have it in champagne- the lightest color. It is not waxy at all- I like it, feels like chapstick. The color is subtle if you put it on lightly, but too many coats makes you look like you have frosted lips from the 80's, lol.

I really like them, they keep your lips moist too. I agree with not putting too much on, just a little swipe is perfect, but not waxy to me at all.

I use it and I LOVE it. It basically feels like the Burts lip balm, which is basically what it is, with color added. I'm totally addicted, and may never wear "regular" lipstick again.

I use the nutmeg color and *love* it! I second the thought that it feels so light on your lips - basically just like the lip balm. And even in the darker shades, it is not an overwhelming color. (And I don't wear much makeup at all. Often I will wear just this and some mascara...)

The voice of dissent here... I did not care for it or find it moisturizing at all.

i love them. They do have a LOT of color, and they last pretty long for not being all waxy and nasty like normal lipstick.

I like them well enough, but they did not make my lips soft at all, and they "skidded" over my chapped lips (even after I had soaked them in lansinoh nipple stuff). However, the colors are very nice, and make your lips look moist (not shine-y). The colors are nice, and some are bolder than others. I really like the raisin color.

I love them. Although it did take me a few tries to get the "right" color. BUT, to me they feel just like Burt's Bees Beeswax lipbalm. Just like it.

Neither am I, that's really why I was asking. I like the idea of lip products, but I buy so many that I never really use. I think I'll get one of those Lip Shimmer things though.

Any color recommendations for a fair-skinned freckle face who doesn't really wear make-up?

The don't last all day. They have peppermint oil in them so they smell yummy. I like Raisin the best. It's hard to find a lip shimmer that has some color in it. Most are not dark enough or have enough pigment in them. I also have a lipstick, Fig, and it's so matte it's like putting paste on my lips! LOL!

Have them, love them.

They feel creamier than chapstick, and they're definitely less moisturizing. I do really like the colors (especially watermelon). They're the only make-up I wear anywhere close to semi-regularly.

I have two, and while I want to like them, I just never wear them much. The raisin is a beautiful color; you can be subtle with it or not. They do feel like the lip balm, except, on me, the color sinks into all the crevices in my lips (esp. with the very shimmery, pale ones). I find they are not moisturizing at all. They feel really good at first, and then.... not so much. I would wear it to run quick errands, but I would never wear it if I had to go anywhere that I was going to be gone very long... does that make sense? I just get to a point where I'm like, gotta get this off! BTW: I am a lip balm FREAK and try everything, which is why, when I wasn't happy with the first one, I went out and got another! But, maybe, I should try the watermelon...

There's something in the ingredients that I'm allergic to so I can't wear them I really liked how the nutmeg color looks, though.
