My latest method is:

- Scrub armpits in shower with baking soda. Rinse
- Spray diluted apple cider vinegar on pits. Rinse.
- Get out of shower, towel-dry off. Rub liquid coconut oil all over body (great for winter skin) and add an extra 1/2 teaspoon on each pit and rub in.

Stench free all day.

It smells great when you put it on. By the end of the day, it doesn't smell coconutty but it smells like a regular product, like a wax. I think it smells like fresh new crayons, but that could be just my body chemistry, lol

I don't smell bad at all and it's only my ritualistic compulsive sniff-test of my bare armpits after I change out of my work clothes at night.

I was able to detox from even the natural deoderants (they often irritated my skin more than the bad-chemical regular ones) so now I do a BS/squirt of facewash scrub in the shower and then a pat of BS before I get dressed. It doesn't necessarily keep my dry, but I don't smell. And in the off chance I do, I swab some alcohol to kill the bacteria that causes the stink, and then re- BS.

For me personally, virtually all antip/deos (even organic) create a film that is not only hard for me to wash off, but traps the bacteria that makes me stinky. I have been so excited not having to deal with that anymore.

I love MDC.

I'm really liking my Oyin Handmade Funk Butter. It smells great. And while I still sweat a little, it isn't bad at all. More dampness than anything.

Another MUST TRY by Gina! I went from crystal rock (loyal for years, and suggested it here) until I read about the alum by-names that it contains. Switched to just a sprinkle of BS for the last couple of weeks w/ great success, but looking for that extra something, so this just might be it! Gotta love ya, girl!

The other "gina" spelled another way...

Thanks!

I used to use an essential oil combination for a good post-shower deo, but I've got a uterine fibroid, and I'm getting the hunch that it's rapidly growing partly because of essential oils (which mimic estrogen sometimes). I'm laying off heavy use for a while and see how that goes. I miss dousing myself with essential oils though

Lesson learned? Sometimes there are commercial synthetic products out there that suit the entire population, sans side effects. That's why they're mass produced. Yes, sometimes in the quest of mass production, some additives are used that end up not being that great for you over a loooong time, but it's just something you pick and choose, I suppose.

The coconut oil is working great though.
