Getting rid of wasps? - Mothering Forums

My mom and I have problems with wasps making nests in our attics, door frames, etc. The best chemical solution seems to be spraying the nest which is difficult considering where they are (plus I would like to avoid a chemical solution). Does anyone know of another way to get rid of wasps?

Probably not much help here as what I do is considered by some as crazy---
I smoke them like bees are done by beekeepers- then remove their nest while they are groggy. I admit I usually have to do this a few times because they return- but they soon figure it is not a good nesting spot and move on.
