I'm looking for an on-line source for safe make-up I can feel comfortable using.

Thanks,

I love their make-up, and the price is pretty good too considering the high cost of most mineral make-ups.

Here is an excellent source of info on the ingredients and safety of most mainstream and natural/alternative brands of cosmetics. This is a huge, searchable database by the Environmental Working Group.

http://www.ewg.org/reports/skindeep/

You can do searches on various things eg lipstick or shampoo, and see a list of hundreds of kinds of products ranked according to safety. There is plenty of detailed information on the ingredients if you are curious.
For instance Aubrey Organics and Peacekeeper are among the lowest concern lipstick brands. Peacekeeper lipstick and nail paints are available online.

Jane Iredale makeup certainly isn't inexpensive, but I like the ingredients and am especially impressed with the quality and selection.

I've liked Everyday Minerals as well, but the application is so messy with the containers full of loose minerals.

With Everyday Minerals you can order a sample pack for something like $5 that will last you a long time.

HTH!

I'm an independent rep for ONEGroup. They are the makers of the world's first extensive range of certified organic skin, hair, body, healthcare and cosmetics. They are USDA and Australian Certified Organic, which is your guarantee that there are absolutely NO toxic, synthetic chemicals in them at all.

Go to http://www.BackToOrganic.com, click on Education, then Toxic Ingredient List for a comprehensive list of ingredients to watch out for in your skin products. These ingredients are absorbed into the skin and directly into your bloodstream, confusing hormone receptors and slowly altering cell structure, and could cause cancer over years of sustained use.

Also, check out the article "How do we know what we are buying is really natural?" for some really good info.
