So, I knew that we had a roach issue, but not that it was this out of hand! DD is 15 mon. and let's just say there was one crawling on me as I was nursing her at oh about 2:00 am. It is after 4:00 and I'm on roach patrol!! (I've killed several so far, with two being on the headboard! my skin is crawling) I need something non-toxic and very very effective! I cannot go too many more days without sleep (didn't sleep well last night either, and DH left until thursday) Help!!!!!!!!!

Yikes!! Roaches are gross! Sorry to hear of your problem.

If I had a roach problem I'd try this diatomaceous earth product first: http://diatect.com/roach-killer.php One pound is allot of dust. I recently bought thier tick killing product for the dog and I haven't seen a tick since I started using it. They do ship it fast...

Best Wishes!

It sounds to me as if you have a much bigger roach problem than you think. If they are crawling on you, I'm pretty sure that means you must have a pretty huge infestation. Yes, if I were you, I'd definitely get as much diatemaceous earth as you can get. Call around to your local special pet food stores, perhaps some veterinary clinics and to your local hardware stores and see who might have food-grade diatemaceous earth and make sure you use masks when you lay it down and make sure your child can't get into it.

If I were you, I think I'd sleep in a different room until you get remedy the situation.

Good luck!

p.s. is there any way you can spread DE everywhere in your home and sleep somewhere else for a few days while it works its magic? DE only works is roaches crawl over it, so you need to try to put it everywhere you can think of. Maybe even remove your light fixtures and pour it inside the walls. You might want to consider getting a more natural pest company to come and put some bait inside the walls, as well, if indeed the problem is huge.

I'm bug-phobic though.

I bought DE as an ant killer at a garden center in my town. It worked great on the ants.
