I am thinking of getting a carpet cleaner, but what about the liquid cleaner they use. I looked in my Clean House Clean Planet book for an alternative but did not see anything. I imagine the Hoover kind is not good for you but I have not been able to find anything searching. Is there an alternative?

Powdered oxygen bleach is great. I use OxiClean in my cleaner (hot water and the powder).

I asked on here, but no one answered me. Anyhow, I used Ecos laundry detergent in my carpet cleaner! Half the amount of the recommended liquid detergent. It worked fantastic!

I have Ecos! I think I will start with Oxy Clean, then depending on how that goes try the Ecos next. I should get started tonight since last night I spent my time removing and rearranging furniture and vacuuming, then got called out to take DH's spare car key to him .
