The beauty of natural cleaners is that there's a lot of room for creative freedom! I'd start with a 1:1 ratio of vinegar to water. Start with 15 drops of citrus & TTO and sniff. Add more as desired. Remember that vinegar is rather acidic and shouldn't be used on natural surfaces like tile grout, marble, etc. The acidity will cause pitting. Otherwise, vinegar is great as a cleaner. A great resource for recipes is a book called Clean House, Clean Planet. Good luck!

Thank you so much! I don't actually have any of those types of surfaces in my house, so I should be good to go! I am excited to make my own cleaner today! I think DH is more excited than I am, he has been trying to get me to go Green for a while now. Thanks for your help

I use spray bottles for cleaning with Heinz distilled white vinegar and about 8 drops of orange essential oil. I use this for counters, floors, sinks, etc.

For stinky clean-up, I use another spray bottle with vinegar, 10 drops TTO, 10 drops lavender EO. I shake the bottle to mix it before I spray. I barely smell the vinegar anymore.
