Has anyone tried a laser treatment for big pores/blackheads? Such as an IPL.

I would try less expensive ways to minimize large pores. If you don't already, exfoliate. I love the Scotch tape method - just stick a piece on your face and gently peel off. Do this every 4-5 days, then reduce it to once a week.

Try aspirin mask (google it). Aspirin works as a salicylic acid (beta hydroxy acid) and cleanses your pores deep down, making your pores appear smaller.

If you're not opposed to it, try Paula's Choice Beta Hydroxy exfoliant. I use the 2% gel just once a day, and my pores appear so much smaller.

Make sure to read the FAQ on which strength and formula you should try first. eBay has them with free shipping.

I have on clue if laser treatments work, but did you try Paula's Choice? Their forumula has a specific pH level which maximizes the deep-down pore cleaning, unlike other over-the-counter salicylic acid products. Once you flush out all the stuff in the pores, they'll appear smaller.

I would visit acne.org's forum. They have a ton of threads about large pores.

I have terrible blackheads on my nose and chin. I find that washing every night with a benzoyl peroxide product is the absolute only thing that works. I use Nutrogena's Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask and I follow it up with a salicylic acid toner which helps exfoliate. If I religiously do these two things, my blackheads are dramatically improved. If I start slacking off on washing my face at night, I can quickly see a difference.

The Paula's Choice is interesting.... Is it available in stores or only online?

I think only online. There was an eBay seller that offered free shipping, but I guess she's no longer selling them.

The stuff lasts a loooong time. I bought mine in June, and I'd say I only used 10% of it. I use the 2% gel, and a little goes a long way.

Oops, I accidentally posted under the wrong profile. I'm also FluffiB.
