Is it very strange that dh and I had a plan, had discussed it in advance, and stuck to the plan? Each of us has one sibling, and both of us really wanted two kids of our own. We were lucky enough to even end up with one boy and one girl. Does it make us unromantic to plan things out so specifically? Now I'm feeling self-conscious.....

Anyway, we have our two and knew we'd be done before we even got started on the first. I had my tubes tied, I'm on the pill.... unless something goes really seriously wonky in my body, we are done.

Today I held my three-week-old niece for two or three hours. I absolutely adore her and was completely enchanted by her tiny little fingernails, her soft hair, her brilliant blue eyes. My kids couldn't stop trying to touch her and kept saying sweet things to her and about her. We're all totally in love with this baby..... but I don't want her to come home with me at the end of the day. Dh and I are happy with our toddlers and are definitely done with the baby thing.

That is a good question! I still don't know the answer to that. After having two very difficult pregnancies and two preemies I decided to get my tubes tied at just 24 years old. Now at 25 I am really regretting that decision. I thought a year ago after my youngest was born that I was done having kids but now I really want two more!
